ENFORCEMENT OF AWARDS.
JUDGE DEFENDS INSPECTOR. "The Inspector of Awards never makes an attempt to enforce our award against the Union Company," declared Mr. E. Kennedy in the Arbitration Court at Wellington. "We have tried over and over again to get him to take action, some efforts extending over eight months.'' His Honor pointed out that the statement was hardly fair. There had been numbers of cases before the Court taken by the inspector for interpretations or breaches of awards against the Union Company, but he could hardly be expected to take eases unless there were good grounds for his action.
