-■ ■ • - BUSINESS SESSION ENDED. The closing business session of the Council of the Congregational Mission was held in the Terrace Church, Wellington, on Wednesday, Mr. F. Meadowcroft presiding. The chairman reported that the splendid library of the late Rev. J. Reed Glasson had been purchased for the Congregational Union by two members of the council for the use of ministers. This announcement was received with acclamation, and the Rev. W. M. Holland, 8.A., 8.D., was appointed to convene a meeting of the ministers to arrange for the location and supervision of the library. It was resolved to name the library "The .T. Reed Glasson Memorial Library.'' The Rev. W. M. Holland, 8.A., 8.D., was appointed librarian. Officers of the union were elected as follow: Chairman-elect, Mr. S. W. Smcoton; secretary, the Rev. Frank de Lisle; treasurer. Mr. F. Meadowcroft; registrar, the Rev. H. J. Huffadinc; auditor, Mr. H. H. Miller; preacher for 1924, the Rev. F. de Lisle. The report of the Pastors' Provident Fund Board was presented by the Hon. George Fowlds. Various recommendations for the future, operation of the fund were adopted by the council. It was resolved that the chairman should during the year pay an official visit to the churches connected with the union. A conference was held at S o'clock, at which the Rev. Dr. Gibb delivered an address on "The League of Nations."
