Dines, oil promoter, is dying from a gunshot. 15. C. Greer, Mabel Normand's chauffeur, admitted shooting him. The excuse was that Dines was "Bothering Miss Normand."' Miss Normand ;»ufl Miss Edna Purviance are detained by the police, who say that Greer has made a full confession, and described questionable incidents in Dines' apartment, impelling him to suggest that the actresses should leave the place. Greer fired three shots when Dines attacked him with a bottle. —A. and N.Z.
