SECOND DAY'S RESULTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS Wednesday. On the second day of the Hawke'a Bay Jockey Club's meeting the sum of £17,677 was put through the totalieator as compared with £14,109 on the second day of last year, an increase of £3568. For the meeting the totalisator handled £36,517 as against £32.375 at last year's meeting, an increase of £4442. Following are the results of the later events:— . New Year Handicap.—First Salute (J. On the opening day the totalisator handled £ 23,392, as against £ 21,900 for the corresponding day last year.
