SPAHLINGER SERUM.
AUSTRALIA MAY BENEFIT. According to a statement made by the Federal Director of Health (Dr. Cumpston), Australia, will benefit .by any arrangement made by the Imperial Government for obtaining a supply of antituberculosis serums and vaccines from Dr." Spahlinger. Br. Spahlinger, it was . stated, was prepared -to , supply the * British Government, in return for,financial assistance, with 50 per cent of his serums' and vaccines, provided, that an agreement by which - distribution was controlled by one man: was cancelled. It was further ■ stated that the man had offered to cancel the agreement. "The position is," said .Dr. Cumpeton, "that the British Government, has undertaken to advise us of any developments ill relation to the Spahlinger treatment. There is "no agreement ■whereby the - Gonimonwealth would share in any supply of serums and vaccines obtained by Britain. That t aspect of-the matter has not,been discussed.
