REFUNDS TO MERCHANTS. SEVERAL THOUSAND POUNDS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WiANGANUI, this day. Aβ .the result of a decision by the railway authorities arising out of a recent judgment in favour of Hatrick and Co. and against the Railway Department, in a now historic case regarding sorting charges, the Department had decided to make refunds to local merchants to the amount of several thousand pounds, representing sorting charges paid since-1918 to the time of the judgment of the Privy Council delivered in Xovember, 1922.
