It -was reported from fian Francieco that President Harding, who has been suffering from ptomaine poisoning for ' some days, took a turn for the worse. This resulted in the cancellation of all engagements. His personal physician is in Attendance at his hotel where he is in bed. The physician, during the early hours of the morning, called to consultation eminent local physicians, including a heart specialist. The consultants, while avoiding any alarmist statement, say that it is known he is a very sick man. The President's temperature is 103, .while hi* pulse beat is 118.
Mr. Harding temporarily overstrained the cardiovascular system by carrying out his speaking engagements -while not in a fit condition to do so. He has been subject to heart attacks in the past.
