REAL. ESTATE AGENTS.
j.A, DOMINION COHFEBEirOE. LA*T> VALUES AT _ROCK BOTTOM. (Bt Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCHi Tuesday. At the annual meeting of the Dominion Estate Agents and Laqd Auctioneers* Association the report stated that the establishment of associations had done much to put the business of land agency on. a better footing. The Courts were finding that the reference oi applications for licensee to'the various associations was a great assistance. The reports received from various centres relative to the state of the property market generally showed that the bottom had been reached in regard to land" values. Dairying land seemed to have suffered most, and the dairying districts were still passing through a period of uncertainty. Money for investment on first mortgage appeared to be plentiful, and the rate of interest showed a decline from 1 per cent to 1 per cent on the rates charged 12 months ago. It'wae decided to alter the name of the association to the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. A remit from the Waikato Association, which was adopted, requested the Government to ascertain the position of Jaftairs likely to obtain when the moratorium was lifted.
