RAILWAY SERVICES.
SATISFACTION 1 - IX MATAMATA. MORRIXSVILLE, Tuesday. Consequent on the attempts being made to improve the Waikato railway time-tables it had been reported in Matamata that representations were being made to the Railway Department from outside sources with a view to materially altering the time-table on the Momnsville-Rotorua section. Overtures were consequently ma <le to the slatamata Town Board by the Matamata •branch of the New Zealand Farmens' Union asking the board's support of the union's contention that any alteration to the present time-table would be detrimental to the public of Matamata The union objected to any alteration whatever except .by additions to the preeent arrangements. The board decided to give the union every support in its contention*.
