WINS FOR BALL AND HAVERS. (Received 1.710 p.m.) LONDON, June 22. In the Gleneagles semi-finals, F. Ball beat Seymour, 3 and 1: Havers beat McNeill 2 and I.— In the third round Ball beat Ritchie, five to four; Havers beat Turnie, three to 1; McNeill beat Lockhart, eight to seven; Kirkwood led two up at the ninth, which he reached in 3S to- Seymour's 40, but the latter outplayed Kirkwood homewards, particularly on the green, taking 33 to Kirkwood's 37. Seymour putted brilliantly and holed an 80-yarder at the last hole. Haver's play was unconvincing. He took 41 out and 43 home.— {A. and N.Z. Cable.)
