CENTENARIAN'S DEATH

KEPT CLOSE TO HOME. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. The death occurred to-day at Llantwit Major, in the south of Glamorgan, close to the Bristol Channel, of Mrs. Deere, at the age of 106. She prided herself that she had never been more than 20 miles from her home, and that she would go to her grave not owing a shilling to anybody.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
