THE PRIME MINISTER.
—' • MB SEES MANY DEPUTATIONS. CABINET CHANGES COMING. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, had a busy forenoon receiving a considerable number of deputations. He had hoped, earlier, to attend the opening of the British Isles Club by the Governor-General this afternoon, but his time was too fully occupied to make this visit. He leaves for the South this evening, accompanied by Mr. F. Thompson, his private secretary. The Hon. D. H. Guthrie, Minister of Railways and Lands, is reported to be improving in health, and there is a possibility that ho may be able to attend the House, if not when the session opens at least very shortly afterwards. It is unlikely that Mr. Guthrie will immediately resume his portpolios and take up at once his arduous work. There will be some rearrangements in the Cabinet, but the Prime Minister is not yet prepared to disclose the direction in which he is looking for his additional Ministers.
