N.S.W. COAL TROUBLE.
A SOUTHERN AGREEMENT. NO CHANGE IN THE NORTH. SYDNEY, May 24. At a conference between the southern coalowners and miners, the former granted the men's demands for increases of payment for certain work, and refused other claims, but the men state that tliey are well satisfied with the way in which their claims have been dealt with. Meanwhile the position on the northern field has not changed.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
