LATE MR. GRAVES AICKIN.
' — • —• • — FUNERAL TO-DAY. The esteem in which the late Mr. Graves Aickin was held by his fellow--citizens was shown by the gathering at j his funeral to-day. About twenty . vehicles followed the hearse when it left j "Fenor Dene," Park Road, this morning j for St. Andrew's Cemetery. Numerous ! wreaths were forwarded by friends, and , also from the various public bodies with j which Mr. Aickin was associated in the j past. | The Right Hon. W. F. Massey (Prime Minister). Hon. C. J. Parr, Hon. A.I Alison, M.L.C.. and Hon. G. J. Garland. . M.L.C., o.cupied one car. His Worship the Mayor, Mr. J. H. Gunson, also attended, an old colleague of Mr. Aickin on the City Council and Harbour Board. Mr. Robert Farrell was also present. _ Ir. P. M. Curnow (secretary) represented the Reform League. I On Wednesday afternoon, Mr. Massey called to sec Mr. Aickin, who was a personal friend for many years, as well as a strong supporter of the Reform party.
