MOTHERS' UNION.
A RED LETTER DAY. (By Telegraph.—Pr_ss Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Tlie Masonic Hall was hopelessly inadequate for the accommodation of the I crowds of ladies who wished to attend j the meeting of the Mothers' Union held in connection with the Anglican Church Congress this afternoon. The speakers at the gathering were Mrs. Bickersteth, tho Bishop of Dornakal, and the Bishop lof Willochra. Mrs. W. G. Roberts, who i presided, said it was a red letter day in the history of the union. There were present members and patrons of the union from many parts of the world.
