The Waihi Gold Mining Company, during the period ended May 12, crushed and treated 15,635 tons of ore for a return of 47210z of gold and 43,6930z of silver. In the corresponding period of 1922 the return was 40260z of gold and 18,5620z of silver from 12,773 tons of ore. The following information has been cabled to the head offlce of the company in London:—No. 9 level. Edward lode": Driving south the next 42ft assays 17/ per ton. The reef is about 50ft wide. No. 12 level, Edward lode: A crosscut has been commenced at 91ft down the Trout winze.
