A LIGHT LIST
FOR CRIMINAL SESSION. XEXT WEEK'S CASES. The criminal session which commences on Tuesday next should not be a lengtliy one, for there are only sixteen casee on the list. Xone of the charges are of a J particularly grave nature. Two of them arise out of bankruptcy matters. Two judges (Mr. Justice Stringer and Mr. Justice Herdman) will be sitting, and the list will probably be disposed of in a week. The list is as follows: William John Marriot, driver, of Auckland, breaking, entering and theft, (three charges), and one charge of theft. Albert James Dillon, vagrancy and indecent exposure, at Auckland. ; Frederick Howard, of Auckland, bookmaking, Auckland. John Brittain, carpenter, contracting a debt while a bankrupt, Auckland. Henry Gibb, of Churchill, incest, Pukekohe. Albert Edward Lindsay, hawker, of Auckland, theft of a cheque. Percy Walter Douglas, auctioneer, of Auckland, theft (nine charges). William Robert Pullinger, of Taneatua. breach of Bankruptcy Act (three charges). John Frederick Cunis, labourer, of Whangarei, attempted rape. Thomas James Davenport, of Auckland, indecent assault. Rutenui Topi, of Maraenui, carnal knowledge. Harold Herbert Payne, of Whangarei, plumber; Charles Henry Cox, plasterer, of Whangarei; Albert Joseph Payne, carpenter, of Whanorarei, breaking, entering and theft at Whanjiarei. Thomas Morris Bruce, of Paeroa, forgery (four charges). John Alexander Campbell and Samuel Smith, forgery and uttering. "
