MATAMATA BRANCH. At the annual meeting of the Matamata branch of the N.Z. Farmers' Union the following officers were elected:—President, Mr. 11. Ruiletf; vice-president, Mr. T. H. Prowse; executive, Messrs. A. Bowler, M. Madili, J. Price, and J. W. Simpson; secretary, Mr. It. Blcnnerbassett; auditor. Mr. E. C. Hanks; delegate to Provincial Conference. Mr. 11. Kollett. The balance sheet showed that the branch commenced the year with v debit balance of £l> ij.', and iiow there was a credit balance or £17 10,7." Assets were valued at £700. It vlnclal executive was out of all proportion to the amount of subscriptions.
