BOY BURGLARS.

A SOUND THRASHING. ORDERED BY MAGISTRATE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Following on an epidemic of boy burglaries in the city, a boy of 15 was to-day convicted of the thefts of a watch and a razor from the Opera House, the property of Dulcie Storey. He was ordered to receive a sound thrashing, and be returned to the industrial school. Of four boys convicted of various burglaries and motor car thefts, the eldest, aged 16, was ordered a sound thrashing, and remanded for sentence. Two others were ordered to make restitution, and a fourth, aged 13, was ordered a sound thrashing. Addressing the mother of two of the boys, the magistrate said steps would be taken to- prevent her children from becoming criminals. __________
