RESTLESS POPULATION.
OWE THOUSAND OVEBSEAS ARRIVALS. 990 NEW 2EALANDERS LEAVE. During February 102R persons arrived at Auckland from overseas. The official Customs returns show that up till yesterday at 5 p m . 473 male? and 4-52 femalps landed here, two being Chinese and another an Indian. The total is made up by the complement of passengers brought by the Navua this morning, which totalled 10.1. the lar.cst number brought by this vessel for some time.
Although ne essarily incomplete, since they do not close till 5 p m. to-day. the official return* show that 508 mal°s and 411 of the slighter se\ left Auckland during the month for overseas ports. Fight of the departing travellers were Chinese, seven were Indians and three Cingalese, all being males.
