TO CORRESPONDENTS.
W.W.—Comment involves contempt of Court. RE VATI-EY ROAD TRAM STOP. iTo »he Editor.l Sir,—After waiting Monday from 7,25 a.m. tili S a.m. at Valley Road stop, Dominion Road tram, among a crowd of 1-50 and 180 (counted by myself and another at two periods), I threw myself at a terminus car compelled to stop to drop a passenger and was carried aboard with the rush and was a lucky one of three that did not get put off among the 150 odd still waiting for a car, many having walked on. This Tuesday morning, waiting from 7.35 till 8 a.m., and during that time again only full ears from the terminus, then one Valley Road car picked up a load from a waiting crowd of over 150, and there were passengers left waiting at every stop we passed. Apart from individual inconvenience and loss it is a most seFioua loss to the city or community at large. An alteration in the service is urgently needed; and I trust that others among my fellow sufferers and the Dominion Road Ratepayers' Association will assist in the matter.—-! am, etc., R.C.B.
