In the forthcoming election of members of the Auckland Harbour Board, Mr. A. M. Laing, who hag for the last fifteen years been a member of the Waitemata County Council, has decided to offer himself as a candidate for the combined district of Waitemata County, Takapuna Boroutrli. New Lynn, Glen. Eden, Henderson. The present member ie Mr. H. H. Adams. Mr. E. U*. Beaglehole, a teacher stationed at Samoa, arrived by the N'avua at Auckland this morning on holiday leave.
