FUNDS FOR HADFIELD.
LEAGUE CONCERT TO-NIGHT. With a view to augmenting the funds required to send D'Arcy Hadfield to Australia to row Paddon for the championship of the world, the Auckland Rugby League has arranged an excellent concert which will be held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall this evening. A most entertaining programme has been arranged including songs by Misses Munro and V. Lambert, ' Messrs. J. Xalvert, I. Bickerton, J. Lonergan, B. Watson,. J. Smithson*, and Kenneth Impett. Mr. H. Witty and pupils will provide an Irish dance specialty, while Mr. E. Forte will give a little" Irish humour. Mr. H. Middleton will contribute a whistling solo, and Messrs. H. Hill and A. Austin comic items. Morrow's orchestra will play the overtures and Mr. W. Purcell will act. as accompanist. Altogether patrons will find splendid entertainment, and in addition will have the satisfaction of knowing that they have contributed to a worthy cause, as the whole of the I proceeds will go to the fund.
