OBITUARY.

REV. W. R. WOOLLET. A former well-known Thames resident, Rev. William Richard Woolley, died on Saturday at his residence. Xgaronu Road, Onelmnga. Deceased had retired from active ministry for some tins. Born in Birmingham in 1850, he ira educated at Bristol College for thi Baptist ministry. He came to 2fw Zealand in 1583,' and was appointed to the cliarge of the Baptist Qraici at Thames. The Baptist and Congregational Churches at Thames wen united during the ministry of &• Woolley. In I SOS Mr. Woolley w transferred to New Plymouth, whert he remained until 15 years ago, wlw failing health caused him to resign «nd come to Auckland to reside, where.ll frequently relieved other ministers. M& Woolley was president of the Xe* Zealand Baptist Union in 1904-5, and f« a long period occupied the position of secretary. Deceased was highly esteemed by all who came in contact with hi* and was a faithful pastor in his * spective charges.
