Australian cablegrams allege lhat business men estimate that it is necessary to write off £8.000.000 of the 'capitalised value of the Commonwealth ships and cut losses before incurring further risks. Mr. H. B. G. Larkin. manager of the Commonwealth Line in London, prefers not to controvert the allegations, because he has already forwarded to the Prime Minister the fullest possible financial details. He proposes to follow up this information with personal communications when lie arrives in Melbourne on April 1!».
