A PROTEST IN LONDON. LONDON. February ii. The Fast Ham branch of the Independent Labour party forwarded to Sir Joseph Cook. High Commissioner for Australia, a resolution condemning the migration of hoys, and demanding the immediate withdrawal of Government circulars advocating juvenile migration. Sir .loseph Cook replied, pointing out that British trades unions had steadily supported juvenile migration for many years. Sir Joseph quoted Mr. Justice Power's judgment at the Kalgoorlie Arbitration Court, in which he mentioned that, occupiers owned 90 per cent of the private dwellings in Kalgoorlie, and declared that no town in the United Kingdom could show a similar condition.
