TRADE WITH CHINA.
China'fl possibilities as a market for Australian good 3 were inquired into by Mr. Percy J. Marks, a Sydney solicitor, during a trip to the East, from which he return a few days ago. Mr. Marks was surprised to see how little Australian goods were used, in comparison to American articles. Tinned fruits, preserved milk, etc., from the United States were to be found everywhere; but hardly any of Australian origin. With prohibition in America, the opportunity for Australian wines in the East seemed excellent, but they were not .to be found there. ,
