IZAAK WALTON MEMORIAL. NEW YORK, December 27. An event which will interest anglers the world over hae been announced by friends of the late Mr. Tuppen Davies, a rich American business man and a lover of angling, who died recently. They have arranged with the Mayor of Stafford, England, for the purchase of Izaak Walton's cottage at Shallowford and its preservation as a museum. It will be stocked with books of angling lore contributed by Americans. A sum of £550 for the purchase and restoration of the cottage .wap contributed in honour of the late Mr. Daviee.
Walton willed the cottage for charitable purposes, and it was owned by the King Edward the Sixth Grammar School.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
