ALLEGED ATTEMPTED SUICIDEArising out of an alleged drunken spree, Richard Derwent Hollingjwort h, a returned soldier-farmer, appeared at the Police Court this morning, _*« charges of attempted suicide, and having preser.cin" a loaded revolver at John Hannaford Edgerky. Mr, Matthews appeared for the accused, who was remanded for one week. It is alreged that the trouble over which Hollingsworth was arrested took place at his" farm, "The Woodcocks. Warkworth Road. Hollingsworth is said to have been drinking to excess and to have written a note stating his intention to take his life. Soon after tne discovery of the note, the report of a firearm "was heard; but Hollingo»orUi was found to be unhurt.
