Dean, the matter of purchasing a punt for nee on the Walkftto River, at Mercer, so as to provide access to Mercer from the Pukeka-wa district was discussed with Mr. Hawk. Pukekawa Bldin* member of the Raglan County Council, and a number of ratepayers yova the PuSekawa Hiding. It wae decided. after a lengthy dleeuselon. that the Mercer Town Board co-operate with the ratepayers of the Pukekawa Riding of the liagiun County In the matter of providing access to Mercer. It was further decided that the punt which is at present lying idle in a submerged state in the Walkato River, near Mercer, 'be examined with a view to its belne recommtssloned.
At a special general meeting of members of tbe Mercer Rowing <"lub. held iv the club-room. It was decided that the club promote a rowing regatta, which will he beld on February l<l. 1U23. The captain of the Mercer Honing Club advises that the cln-b will be represented at the Hamilton Bowing Club'e regatta on Jansjry 20, 1933, Tiv the following crews:—Light-weights: K. •Lockle (stroke), r.
