ANNUAL MEETING OF UNION . REPRESENTATIVES.

A letter from the Minister of Labour was received through the Federal Council stating that the Arbitration Act could not he amended to enable rules to be registered so that death benefits could be paid by industrial unions. The letter is to be held over until the federal rule, are under consideration. The Labour Department forwanteJ an explanatory letter regarding the recent amendment to the Arbitration Act. It was decided that the letter tie held ov«r until the present order paper is disposed of.
