MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE. BELIEVED TO BE A HOAX. (Received H..TO a.0i.1 CAPETOWN", Xovember 10, The mysterious disappearance ot" the liner Waratah, which left Durban for Capetown on July 26, 1000, and waa never heard of again, is recalled by the discovery in Table Bay of a bottle which apparently had been a long time in the water. Tt was stopped with lead, and contained a paper bearing the words written in pencil: "Send help, starving; Waratah on island in Antarctic." The message is generally believed to be a hoax.-HA. and X.Z. Cable.)
