The largest yarding recorded for over a year was entered at the Farmers' Auctioneering Co.'s stock sale at 'Morrinsville on Friday. The cattle beasts numbered ■about 1000, v.-hile there were also good yardings of pigs and sheep. Tiie tone of the sale showed, considerable improvement compared with that of recent sales. Excellent quality beef was yarded, and sold at over a pound a head better than It had done for some time. A line of ISO head of store beef was offered, and was quitted at good prices under keen competition. Dairy heifers were in keen demand, and sold readily at warm values. The pi? market was a feature of the sale, the yarding Tjeing good and the delnand greater than the supply. A sharp rise in the prices was noted. Sheep did not sell so briskly, although the vendor? were well satisfied wtth the prices yielded. A few poor quality hulls Were yarded, and changed hands at satisfactory prices.
