LABOUR'S CAMPAIGN BAZAAR.

A bazaar and sale of work organised by tho women of tho Labour party, was held in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, on the afternoon and evening of Friday lost. The hall was very prettily decorated, the men of the party lending valuable aid in fixing up tho stalls, which included plain and fancy needlework, children's garments, stationery, produce, a jumble stall, lollies, flowers, besides an afternoon tearoom, a fishpond, etc. Mrs. Lee, President of the Women's International league, opened the bazaar, in a neat speech in wliicli she told her hearers how hard the women hud been working for months for the baaiar, the proceeds of which would be given to the electoral campaign fund. Mr. Savage. M.T.. also spoke congratulating tho women upon the splendid result of their labour and the practical interest they were taking in the movement, the success of which is of equal importance to them as to the men. 11l the evening tho children of the Socialist Sunday School gave a most enjoyable entertainment, comprising cleyer recitations by .NVmie Wright and T na Moore, a musical monolofff.o by Miss Edna Rowlatt, "Good-night." with children's chorus, by Master Dfwson, and somo very neat SeoMi dancing by two little children in costume. The children also took part in some very effective tableaux, arranged by Miss Kirkby. one portraying an Eastern scene l«?ing most artistic. " Two of Coningsbv Clarke's "Desert Love Songs" were sung by Mr. E. Gibson, -with a humming accompaniment by the children, nnd an Eastern dance was performed by one of the little girls. Mosdames Moore and Mnrtin were very energetic secretaries, and as the hall was packed in the evening and the Rtftlls sold out heforo ten o'clock, the bazaar was a huge success and reflected great credit upon the committee and everyone connected with it.
