METHODIST ANNIVERSARY.

i The anniversary meeting and concert| !of the Stanley Hay Methodist Church' {was held last evening, the Rev. Parsons' occupying the chair. Mr. Mead read the annual report, which showed that ; the activities of the church had been fully sustained and that good progress had been made with all the church ! schemes. The revenue had amounted ito £175. and the churoh debt had been completely wiped out by a bazaar which J had produced £82. There was now £53 ;in hand, with which to make furthor I improvements to the church buildings. J Thp chairman congratulated the memI hers on the successful year's work and j paid a tribute to the interest shown in I the church by the young people, who I had raised a considerable sum of money ito furnish their own classrooms besides j providing the church with an adequate I supply of Bibles and hymn books. The musical part of the programme, which was of a very hi<ih order and much appreciated, there being frequent recalls, was supplied by twenty members of the Mount Eden Methodist choir. i
