SEASIDE GROCERS.
Judgment was filed hv the Arbitra- j ■ tion Court this morning in llif rase Si. , Helierie and Kohimarama grocers, who applied for exemption from lUc closing } hours fixed by the Auckland grocers" j award. ( The Court was of opinion that the J observance of the closing hours fixed by the award would cause undue hardship to the applicants, and ordered that it 1 and bo long as the undermentioned occupiers closed their grocers' shops at 1 p.m. in the afternoon of one working. day in each week and complied with the j provisions of the Shops and Offices Act. 1921-22, and its amendments, and did not employ workers in or about tho shops during the hours when grocers' shops were directed to be closed, or ' outside the hours during which workers ' were permitted to be employed, or on ■ any of the holidays prescribed by the award, they be exempt from the provi- , sions of the clause fixing the closing hours. ____^_
