MOUNTAIN ROAD.
The widening of Mountain Road from (■lenfield Road" to Owen's Road was the subject of a report by the City Engineer I to the City Council night, when it ■ was stated that the consent of all interested ownere had been obtained, subjttCt to conditions as to replacement of grates, entrances, etc. The engineer . slated that to date the cost had been I .L'l:3(io. and he estimated the total cost \at £3710. The Council approved the J work as outlined, but its execution was I deferred pending a report from the i -Mayor on tlie financial position.
