Hi- Worship re\commended that on that day all citizens be admitted free to the zoo, that all school children have a especial invitation io the ceremony, and that memJiere of all other local bodies in the Auckland district be invited to be present. Mr. Uunson stated that it was i expected to get the work at the zoo I linicdied toy Dec-ember 1. Reporting on ] progress, Mr. -T. A. Warnock stated that it seemed to him to be assured that the ■work at tile park in Grey Lynn would j'.ie finished liv the time stated by the (■Mayor. I Mr. Krnest Davis inquired if the comI'lTfttPp had considered the matter of an laauarium, and on being informed that tjiis phase of a modern zoological garden had received attention, he replied tiiiit he. would contribute to the zoo a turtle which he had brought from Suva.
