(To tie Editor.) Sir. —Mr attention h«s been drawn to a letter in your is3ue of OctoWr 8 headed "Presentation to Mr. A. Karri*, M.P." I was pleased to see that Mr. W. Blorafiekl had raised a protest. T as a ratepayer to the Waitemata County Council also strongly protest against any funds of the council being used for such a purpose. T would also like to know what 'Sir. Harris has done that the ratepayers of Waitemata should subscribe to a fuijd. for his benefit. Perhaps the council will explain?—l am, etc.. JAMES McLEOD.
