CLOTHING GERMANY.
EXTENT Or WOOL, BUYING. ißeoeiveiJ 1.80 i».ni.) LOXDON, October 17. The "Yorkshire Observer" publishes details of Germany* lvool dealings, showing that in the seven month.s ended July last Germany purchased 3ln.(K!o,flofl pounds of wool, which ie exactly the same quantity as that country purchased in the corresponding period of 1913. On the other hand, Germany's export* of combed wool yards manufactured goods wee only about one-half of the quantity exported in 1913. Thus the real impetus behind Germany's buying of wool, despite exchange and reduction in the size of population, is the internal demand for clothing.—(A. and N.Z, Cable.)
