HIGHER GRADKS WELL. Better demand was shown at (he auition sales of hides and skins this afternoon. PriCPS WOW better for higher grades, and fewer lines were passed in as compared with last sale. Heavy ox hides made up to o<l per lb: medium ditto, 7sd to 8d; light, 6d to 6*d: cow. (id to 6id; kips and yearlings. 8d to 10d : best calf, 12d to 13d: second quality, lid; cut and faulty, 6d to !»d. Kheepskins met with good demand, most lines offered being sold. Three-quarters to full wool crossbred skins sold at 3d per ll>; half wool. 3id to 4d: short and quarter wool, 24d to :Jd: broken and dajnaged, up to 24d. Best Baited skins sold up to ■I/.-,; medium, ,?/!> to 4/:!: small, 2/ to ->/V,
