EMANCIPATION OF WOMEN.
(To tlie Editor.) Sir.—As things arp going on at pnw I think it is hijih time we called a Btoi Wβ find even a Minister of the Cro»i introducing a bill admitting women to Justices of the I'eace, presumably \f|ii a view to securing their vote and » iluence. ffp iir.d every office full jj women: in fact, I know of three men cantile firms employing from flfteen ti fifty girls in clerical duties. What i the result? We iind when these women get married they hate domestic dutiei and a good many know nothing of coot ing and dislike using a needle or doin? any work with their hands. No wonder therefore, \w have between six and seven hundred divorces in the year, an! that in a young colony like XewZealand. I could mention other evil iveults from emancipation and the employment of women in office?. It is only a matter of a few years whpn it will be & man's duty to stop at home and do th« houawork, while hid wife goes to work the same as in some aborigina.l tribes.—l am, etc., COMMOXSEXSE.
