MR. J. EDSON'S FUNERAL.
j Flag* were at half-mast on the AlickI land Sailors" Home and Auckland Saving* Bank when the funeral of the late ■Mr. -lohn Efkon passed by. T'lie hearse and rasket were covered with beautiful wrcat'hn. The service at Deronport I Methodist Church was conducted by ! tlii" Revs. C. Bond. P. Knieht and Oarr, ,' while the Rev. Parsons officiated at the j grave. Mr. T.. Edton. 'Messrs. H. : Schmidt, and MM'orqixlale (sons-in- | law), and MorrelJ were the chief mourner-. Atnoneet old friends present were Messrs, R. Farrell. J. R. »and F. Kenderdine. and Rev. A. C. Lawry. The Auckland Savings Bank was represented by Meswr*. O. Nicholson (president). A. J. Rank-hart, J. Trevethiek. ,T. J. .lenkine. and A. Clements (trustees), and the South British Insurance Co. by bhc chairman. Mr. George Elliot. \lr. V. .1. Lamer (director). Mr. P. H. I'pton. general manager. Mr. .T. M. Stokes, secretary, and Mr. J. Kingston, ] Auckland Branch Manager.
