IHE MANAGEMENT CO-VIM 111 El-. T_e management committee of the Aucklaarl Rugby League met last evening. Mr. TV. J. Hammill presiding. The King Country Union wrote asking that a rlate should be fixed for a match with the Auckland representatives iv Auckland. The secretary stated that when the match was iirst applied for he had replied that a date would be fixed at the end of the season. The chairman stated that the whole of the matches in sight would occupy until nearly the end of October, and possibly a Wedlles rfay match could be arranged. It was decided to offer to play the King Country representatives on Wednesday. September (!. A telegraiii) was received from the Petone Club asking for a rlate to be arranged for a match with the City Cluh for the New Zealand League's Challenge Shield. It was decided to ask the NewZealand League to fix the order ..f the challenge matches. an.l telegraph the information to the Petone Club. Au application was received from Devonport for the use of Cariaw Park to hold a seven a-side tournament for the raising of funds for the erection of a new lire station. 1 n view of the long programme the committer. has in front of it the chairman state-! that it was impossible to give a definite reply, but every effort would be made to accede to the request.
