The Yellows continued tn press, but Baildon cleared with a nice hit to tbe side-line. Half-time was called with Auckland attacking. Auckland attacked from the opening bully. The home team livened up for a few minutes, but the Auckland defence proved equal. Wairarapa continued to press, and obtained a penalty corner. A fine run by Carr took the ball to the Wairarapa goal, off-side spoiling what appeared a certain chance. Play linn.round the home team's twenty-five, but Cosplendid defence of the BaDnin brothers and the goalie prevented the visitors increasing their score. The Yellow forwards now took .-l turn in tho attack, offside play spoiling a good chance.
