A BUILDER'S FAILURE.

The creditors in the bankrupt estate of Daniel Carline. builder, met again : before the Official Assignee (Mr. W. S. Wisher) in Auckland yesterday afternoon, when there were eighteen present. The assignee intimated that the claims against the estate amounted to oT which over £ tK) was owing for preferential wages. After a Ions: discussion a committee of creditors was appointed to inspect a property in M. George's Bay Road which the bankrupt was engaged in erecting at the time of his bankruptcy. Authority was friven the committee to make arrangements for the completion of the building if they considered it advisable to do so. The creditors instructed that the bankrupt's books ami account's should be investigated by a qualified accountant. It was stated that the only other assets in the estate, besides the bankrupt's interest in the unfinished building, was about £54. The meeting was adjourned until after the committee .had investigated the matter.
