TIMELY RAINFALLS.
STORM IN NEW SOUTH WALES. I (Received 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. There has been heavy rain %vith a strong easterly blowing for the past couple of days, and the storm still con- > tinues. Shipping is sheltering. The rainfall is widespread, including considerable portions of the wheat and western areas. This has greatly improved the prospects of the backward springing I crops.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
