i PREPARING FOR ATTACK * _ c WHEN JAPANESE LEAVE. * (Received 10.30 a.m.) I TOKYO, July 23. ] Advices from Kharbarovsk indicate i that the "Reds" are making preparations 1 for an attack on Nicholaevsk, in Eastern 1 Siberia, the minute the Japanese 1 evacuate the town. The Mayor hag 1 applied to the Japanese commander to i leave a protecting force. Chinese papers in Harbin report that ' the "Reds" are gathering for an attack on that city.
