CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB. Acceptances for the Grand National Steeplechase. Grand National Hurdles, and Winter Cup. together with nominations cfor the whole of the minor events to be tlec l^*l at the C.J.C. Winter Meeting, close with the secretary, Mr. F. C. Cother. this evening at eight o'clock. THAMES JOCKEY CLUB. AXNCAL MEETING. The report of the season*s working of the Thames Joekev Club, presented at annual meeting of the club, stated that the receipts from all sources for the year mounted to £10.-154 4/2. and the expenditure to £12,801 1/. The financial year was started with a debit balance of £2S_ 4/6. and ended with a debit balance of £1689 1/4. and to this has to be added a. second mortgage of £21100. The club paid away in stakes £3575. and. the Government tax on the meeting was £3035 11/. In the absence of the president, through illness. Mr. R. Darrow. vice-president, occupied the chair. There was a good attendance, and the report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows:—President, Mr. A. Bruce; vice-president. Mr. Robt.
