FAINTED IN HEAPS.
FUMES IN A BISCUIT FACTORY. (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Ffty or sixty employees, chiefly girls, at Joyce's biscuit factory, Camperdown, collapsed through being overcome by fumes from the ovens. The victims fainted in heaps, and were promptly removed to the hospital, where respiratory efforts brought them round, after two had been given up. The majority were allowed to return to their homes, but several are still in the hospital.— (A. and=NZ. Cable.)
